Blackstone Audio on Folium Enhanced Audio software platform

“I predict that this Audiobook App will be a major, major innovation in audiobook publishing and distribution.”
—Mary Burkey, Audiobook Blog

This gallery provides a way for you preview your enhancedAudio™ App before you buy.

Use the numbered boxes above to explore your way through the user interface. You will see a screenshot on the left with a description for it here, on the right.

The player controls appear automatically. If you don't tap a control within a few seconds, the controls fade out. Tap the center of the screen and the controls reappear.

Want to return to the start of the chapter? Maybe skip ahead to the beginning of the next chapter? These buttons allow you to move through major portions of the book at lighting speed.

Sometimes you just want a quick way to go back and re-hear that last bit, or skip ahead a small amount. These buttons pop the player backward or forward in ten-second increments.

For some books, the title artwork appears here. For other recordings the publisher provides a selection of illustrations or other artwork that appear as a slideshow. As a special feature, some books have artwork associated with a particular chapter or part of the story, and for these the artwork appears at the proper time.

All of the chapters in your enhancedAudio app are clearly identified and/or numbered. No more fumbling around or audio bouncing; now audiences have clearly marked chapters for your listening enjoyment.

Bookmarks are grouped by sections, if that’s what the author intended. The length of each chapter is shown (hours:minutes:seconds) just below the chapter title. Tap a bookmark and the player will jump to that point in the recording. The time progress bar slides out to reveal how far into the chapter you are, and the time counter displays a countdown to the end of the chapter.

Folium enhancedAudio Apps come with many extra features. Do you ever get sleepy while watching TV? Or perhaps while listening to music or books on while traveling? The sleep timer will automatically turn off the player if you haven't interacted with the book within a set period of time, and will set a bookmark for your return.

Some apps come with slideshows, and these might show illustrations from the original book or be pictures, graphs, maps, or other images that support the audio.

The Folium enhancedAudio leaf is the key to enhanced content. Discover more about the book, the author, and narrator.

Some books will have even more goodies, in what we call a Premium enhancedAudio Edition™. These include such things as deeper information about the book and author, notes on history or events related to the book, trivia games, teacher and reader guides, sound clips, video snippets, slideshows, and more.

Navigating through the enhanced content is a breeze. Choose a menu item and new content slides in.

While reading about the author, book or narrator you'll sometimes run across images. Want a closer look? Tap the image and it will expand.

Some books come with interesting timelines that display information such as author accomplishments or important happenings during the author’s lifetime.

Many Folium enhancedAudio™ books come with a quotes section. There you can read important quotes from the book, things the author said, or praise for the book your listening to.

Premium enhancedAudio™ books contain various trivia games such as questions about the author, book and history.

Future app revisions will have even more games available.

Think twice before choosing an answer in your trivia games. In the end, your points are tallied based on how many times you took to find the right answer.
